Phew! We have been having a busy time lately. Last week we were thrilled to be part of the 3D/2D West End Festival in Edinburgh. We were situated in the Orchard Walk in the grounds of St. John's Church. What a perfect spot.

We loved meeting and chatting to so many of you. It was great to hear your feedback on our Bonnie Bling jewellery and look forward to keeping in touch in the future. Don't forget we have an enewsletter you can sign up for to keep up to date with our new collections.

After all our hard work we just couldn't help but treat ourselves.

Check out this beautiful handmade Harris Tweed Bag made by the lovely Mairead at Breagha Designs. Mhairi has had her eye on the red one for months and finally decided to splash out and treat herself. Lucky Lady!

If you're fast you can still grab Alui Altum Skin Care for the next few days. We splashed out on some gorgeous rose spritzer toner and a completely luxurious day cream to match.

We have been a bit quiet on the blog front lately but rest assured it's because we have been working away at getting lovely new goodies created just for you!

We are thrilled to be able to give you a little sneaky peak of our new collaborative project with Emily Moir. Fresh off the printing press and getting ready for sewing these cushions will be available from next week. With Emily's beautiful hand drawn sheep and highland cow illustrations we thought them the perfect match to our Scottish Slang items. Emily has also hand screenprinted the items herself and therefore each piece will be unique.

We will be official launching the new cushions at next week's Made in the Shade event at the Lighthouse, click here for more details of what is sure to be the shopping event of the Summer!

We have a busy weekend of sewing and jewellery making ahead as we prepare for our appearance at this year's Edinburgh west end fair. We have even created special limited edition 'Edinburgh Rocks' badges to celebrate, better be fast to snap one of these little bad boys up! For more details on the festival click here, we will be sharing our stall with Emily so keep your eyes peeled for our Scottish slang speech bubbles.

Much recovering taking place today after a busy night of selling our custom UV reactive jewellery range at Technofest - a night of aural pleasure in aid of Cancer Research.  What a blast we had seeing all those revellers dancing around wearing our glowing jewellery!  A few people loved the 'Bling so much that they were dancing on the tables by the end.

Top music, visuals and lights made for a damn fine evening.  We are very proud that through Bonnie Bling we helped contribute to the £1,100 raised for Cancer Research during the course of the night.

A great night for a fabulous cause.  Photos to follow!

We were just having a wee look at some of our pals Facebook pics and this one stood out a mile!

It's Bez wearing one of our Bonnie Bling limited editions! We created a special UV glowing range for the amazing Technofest event in Glasgow, and somehow Bez ended up with one round his neck at Glastonbury!

We will be appearing again at this weekend's Technofest and bringing our UV items along too, all of the money we make from selling them goes straight to Cancer Research UK so not only do you get a supercool UV glowing accessory but you're also helping a great cause too.

Well tonight see's Mary Portas take on the wonderful Denny and Dazzle as part of the new series of BBC2's Mary Queen of Shops.

Earlier this year Much Too Fun's, Mhairi Mackenzie, who also runs design company Mucky Puddle, was invited to join the team at Small Back Room in London to help out on the new BBC series of Mary Queen of Shops.

Mhairi met with owners Denny and Dazzle to find out more about their website needs and requirements and the team back in Glasgow got to work on the site build.

The website is simple and easy to update allowing Denny and Dazzle to add new pictures of stock items, to post news articles and to show the shop location and contact details.

Keep your eyes peeled for Miso Funky's embroidery samples in the background as well as some fab '37' branded products that were upcycled by Mhairi specially for the show.

Hello everyone!

We have been having quite a few busy days over there at Much Too Fun.

On Saturday we had a beautiful day out at Hillhead High School in the glorious sunshine and on Sunday we prepped our new items to get ready for Father's Day. We will be uploading them later this week sometime but brace yourselves for some super Scottish gift ideas :-D

Earlier today we were featured on India Knight's highly influential Posterous page, you can view the link here to look at some of her other amazing finds. Huge thanks to India for the mention.

As a result we have had quite a lot of new visitors to our wee site. Hello to all the new Twitter followers, Facebook friends, online customers and brand new browsers!

We have been inundated with orders for our Peely Wally necklace and while we are working the Haggis hard to keep up with demand it will be a few more days before we have our white necklaces back in stock. If you are able to check back later in the week we will be updating the shop as soon as the new stock is ready.

Meanwhile we still have a few in other colours and if you would like to pre-order a white one please get in touch through our contact page and we will arrange this for you.

Woohoo! We are very excited, this Saturday we will be heading to Hillhead High School to show off our wares as part of the Fundraising Fete. Come along and check out our new Bonnie Bling range aswell as a whole host of vintage inspired necklaces from Much Too Fun. We've got to go get our school uniforms looked out, see you there!

Our brand new Bonnie Bling  Peely Wally necklace has featured in the newest edition of The List magazine.

We are thrilled to be featured alongside Hunter wellies as we love them!

Check out a bigger picture of the snap here.

What a weekend we have had! We were thrilled to secure a last minute spot at the first ever Made in the Shade Edinburgh Jamboree. This took place in the very cool Roxy Arthouse venue and we were surrounded by much too loveliness all day long.

We headed off to the venue with our matching brand new Gillian Kyle Creamola foam bags. We had treated ourselves at our last craft fair at Glasgow's Lighthouse. We were delighted to discover that Gillian was actually on the opposite stall from us so we got to be stall buddies for the whole day :-)

Check out her brilliant items on her lovely website here http://www.gilliankyle.com

Then we set about preparing our stall complete with our new homemade backing board to pin our brand new badges too.

No sooner had we set up than this lovely lady appeared who had just arrived to sing alongside special guest Piney Gir, all the way from Kansas! She just LOVED our new necklaces and treated herself to a wee Blether necklace. Doesn't it look brilliant!

We had a really great day and managed to treat ourselves to a few items including these amazingly cool solid silver skull rings from Hannah Zakari and made by Michelle Chang.

Many thanks to the MITS girls for all their hard work, it really was a great day. We met lots of lovely new people aswell as managing to catch up with our fellow Glasgow Mafia members and other crafters. Thanks to Claire at Miso Funky for the quite wonderful donation of Mingin' Dynasty planters, pics to follow! And to Angharad Jefferson for our first official craft swap :-)

Well, the Haggis have been hard at work again and we are super thrilled to announce that our brand new Bonnie Bling badges have now arrived!

Here is a sneaky peek at the very first 'I love Bucky' brooch.

There will be plenty more to come next week. If you can't wait to get your hands on some then you'd better get yourselves down the Springtime Jamnoree at Edinburgh's Roxy Art House this Saturday from 10.30-5pm

To celebrate my new greenhouse arriving in my garden at last I thought we would have a garden themed blog post.

Lots of lovely greenfingered items out there but here are some of my favourites.

First up is the amazing Seedbom. Does exactly what it says on the tin, 'Throw it, Grow it'. Get Guerrilla gardening in your neighbourhood with some of these!

Next we have this cheery print from Black Out Well .

Its' thirsty work all that gardening so to quench my thirst I'll be ordering me this brilliant Ginger beer kit from Make Do and Mend.

And just to finish off my plantpots how about this adorable little fimo bear enjoying a wee cup of tea and made by Daisies are our silver  He looks like he's having way much too fun ;-)

No sooner has Bonnie Bling belted out of the starting gates than they are offering us an amazing limited edition Summer Collection.

First up, we’ve been brushing up on our Spanish in time for our Summer hols. Hopefully this supercute ‘Hola!’ necklace will get us off to a flying start.

With all the warm weather this weekend, a full glass of red vino is a little on the heavy side. So join us with a Calimucho instead! Half Cola and half red wine it will get your taste buds a tingling. We know there’s a few ‘Mucho fans out there so better snap his one up fast before they’re gone.

Sunburn is OUT and Peely Wally is IN! Show the world your pale and proud with these statement keyrings and necklaces.

Summer makes us feel good, spread the goodmood around with our gorgeous ‘Pretty Pretty’ necklace.

Last but not least we have one for our good looking ladies out there. One of our ‘Guapa’ necklaces would make the perfect gift for someone who you just can’t resist.

Woohoo! We managed to raise a whole £150 for Cancer Research UK last night! We were selling a unique range of Bonnie Bling jewellery created specially for the Technofest event and are delighted so many of you turned out to support such a great cause. We are super tired now, so afraid you will have to wait to see the pictures, we will make sure and keep you posted though. :-)

When we heard that the amazingly talented Johanna Basford would be creating the cover for this years Edinburgh Fringe Festival programme, via the power of Twitter, we knew we just had to get involved.

Over a period of two days Twitter users could tweet their suggestions to what the weirdest thing they would like to see at this years Fringe would be. We thought our Bonnie Bling Haggis might like to get on down to some hip hop at the Fringe and here he is! Freshly drawn by Johannas fair had and heading to a programme cover near you!

In honour of our house-guests this week, we are looking after a friend’s rabbits while they are on holiday, I thought it would be nice to do a post about some rabbits.

I used to have a rabbit called Maisy, she was a Himalayan grey and had chocolatey ears and tail. These two we are looking after are quite a pair! First we have Crumble who is a lovely fawn colour and is a nosey little minx. Her beautiful brown housemate is the lovely Brulee who is a fluffy little number with floppy ears.

I spent my Friday night with a bottle of wine and a best friend sitting with them letting then run all over us, Much Too Fun!

We should have been wearing some of these amazing rabbit masks from Lupin Handmade

How cute is this mini Miffy stapler available from Supercute Kawaii

Carry your bunny with you with this charming rabbit mirror made by Adrianne and available via Folksy

Of course when Brulee and Crumble’s owners return from their travels we will be bunny free :-(. Perhaps this would be an ideal replacement, made by Zygopsyche and available through Etsy

And don’t forget we have our very own solid silver bunny charms available here at Much Too Fun!

I thought you might like to see the amazing gifts that were given to me over the holidays, check out how good I was!

I must have worked really hard in 2009 because office Secret Santa brought me this delightful new friend to add to my collection.

He’s a Wee Creeture and it looks like there may soon be more friends to join him as the website is currently under construction.

My brother nailed it this year by giving me this superhandy, supercute Tofu phone holder from Supercute Kawaii One of my absolute favourite places to suck up cuteness on the web!

I sure did get a lot of bags this Christmas but imagine my surprise when I unwrapped this beauty from my husband.

And then realised it was just the bag wrapping my actual bag! DOUBLE BAG BONUS!

I totally love it, despite the slightly worrying fact that it was apparently made from an old pair of vintage 70’s leather trousers! Joey D has a whole range of reworked bags, skirts, jackets and loads more go pay him a visit!

And of course, you’ll have met these two beauties before but how can I resist including them in Santas Sack!

What about you? Did you get anything nice? Maybe even a Much Too Fun necklace! Get in touch and share the wares!

Lucky me. For my Christmas my Mum bought me these beautiful twins who live together in a pie!

They were made by the lovely Cat in the Shoe and came from the Made in the Shade Maisonette just off Byres Road. I could spend all day in there just looking at all the pretty things and chatting with the lovely owners who always make me feel really at home. If you haven’t been then you should definately pop over for a look, you never know what you will find!
